The Literacy Gnomes can make literacy tasks very enjoyable for younger learners! Online safety is assured, because the gnomes provide their colourfully presented, fully personalised stories or activities as documents, via the email address of a parent or guardian. Every story or activity mentions your child’s name, features something that interests them, and is tailored to their current literacy needs. Here’s how it works:
*You let me know about something that your child likes to do, or perhaps their favourite animal. Anything at all that interests them is fine. Your child chooses a gnome. The gnome sends a story or activity, which comes as a colourful document, and features something that your child likes.
*Your child responds by writing back on paper. They are invited to include a drawing or painting in their reply. You send me a photograph of what they have done.
*The gnome that your child has chosen will respond with another colourful document, giving praise and helpful feedback.
*Your child can also receive a recorded story via WhatsApp, to accompany a literacy activity.
Every story or activity is yours to keep, so it can be revisited. Each is priced at £14, or at £10.50 for those on a low income. Support and guidance is also included should you need it, so you are welcome to make contact at any time. You can receive an activity regularly or occasionally ~ there’s no commitment.
